Authentic Mexican Food !! It's always delicious and we are always satisfied! "Thank you very much"

Our family has been a regular for generations. Always satisfied so far. Only since Corona has the service left a lot to be desired. Customer requests are repeatedly ignored. For example, we often expressed the wish to please arrange the tacos completely so that you can eat them on the go. Unfortunately, this was not adhered to. And mixing the salad and the sauce for the tacos with your fingers on the go and then assembling the tacos is an impertinence. It was the case again yesterday. In addition, we have ordered several of the same dishes for several people / households. These were then packed in a pack. Episode: At home all repacking + serving, back in the car and then bring the pensioners over cold. Then back home and eat your own food cold. Good Appetite. Of course, first of all I tried to clarify the situation directly by telephone. But boss was busy. Please call back was ignored. Delicious food if the service was right. Instead of keeping yourself afloat with sales of sauces and tortillas, you should perhaps concentrate on your core business, because a lost regular customer will no longer buy such things !!!!!

We have been visiting El Taquito for years and have never been disappointed! The food tastes good and the ambience is unique. We hope you will stay with us for a long time, so that we don't have to look for a new favorite Mexican. LG Chris

The worst Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life and definitely overpriced. The waitress was very rude to us. It seems like the chef didn’t pay so much attention about the food, just gave us smth to eat. We came here because our German friends told us that’s the best Mexican restaurant in Karlsruhe, but it ended up super disappointed

All selected dishes were very tasty. The service was friendly. The dishes are all kept very mild and therefore pleasant for every palate. The selected cocktails were also very tasty. In addition, the desserts were very recommendable. Unfortunately there was a dessert in the menu that should be without cinnamon, when we got it it was full of cinnamon. This small point could be improved. The general noise level is very high, otherwise the ambience is great, inside and out. The castle outside and the small pond with a bridge over it inside are particularly impressive. Overall impression, highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

Super tasty - attentive and nice service. The only disadvantage: the restaurant is 350 km from our home. 😂

Some of the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life and also very overpriced. I don’t think these chefs or cooks understand the concept of Mexican cuisine beyond having imported corn tortillas that were clearly not made at the restaurant, as they are authentic. I ordered a quesadilla and got something that felt and tasted much more like a Samosa than any Mexican food I have ever eaten on either coast of the US. You don’t order these dishes to see somebody’s twisted attempt at traditional Mexican dish that is really difficult to get wrong. I lived in Texas, Florida, and California with several trips to Mexico. Esto NO es comida Mexicana. It’s a costly, mediocre joke. Been there twice and twice disappointed. Invited to give it another shot, but no thanks. Especially not after the sanitation concerns that have been shared with me by other friends. #hardpass #nogracias

The food on site has always been good so far. I don't want to complain about that. But ... what happened to the service? The ladies, some of the waitresses, are rude and listless. A few weeks ago, when it was a bit full, we were sent away with the following words: "So if you are hungry, go somewhere else .." Such a statement is totally wrong and a real restaurateur would never bring it. Today, Sunday, we were here around 5 p.m. First we ordered something to drink and we wanted to wait with our food order. It should be noted that maybe 3 tables in total were occupied, otherwise it was empty. We were immediately drawn to our attention by a lady with long black hair in a very unfriendly way that if we don't have to eat anything we don't have to go to the bar, these Corona times do not allow us to sit at a table. What the hell? We have never said that we don't eat anything but that we want to wait for something. Why are you being treated so unfriendly? Just because you don't order immediately? After that, the cards were simply taken away from us. What kind of way is that? So we actually lost our desire to eat and we went somewhere else. Leaving such people in charge of customers is not good. Second bad experience with the service, we doubt whether we will come again. What a shame.

The first time to go out for Mexican food. Possible at El Taquito and ordered vegetarian dishes. Food came in a timely manner and tasted good. The salt dressing didn't fit in my opinion, which was more European. In the case of Mexican and vegetarian, there is generally not a large selection, as much of the content is similar. Nonetheless, it tasted good, nice ambience (loud but very Mexican), and corona rules are also followed. Gladly again.

We were there a while ago for the spare ribs all you can eat. The first batch of spare ribs were ok, though nothing special. The second one was super dry. The waitress was super unfriendly and almost offensive. I can't recommend it at all.

After we were guests with friends at El Taquito some time ago and were completely satisfied, we unfortunately had to correct our opinion downwards on our visit today. The ambience is harmonious and goes well with the Mexican cuisine ... but then it stops. When entering the almost empty restaurant, we were initially made to wait a few minutes until, due to Corona, a friendly service person received us and assigned us a seat. There was also a lack of attention for empty drinks. The menu was typically Mexican, with a variety that wasn't too overloaded. As for the quality of the food, we were disappointed. There was also a lack of freshness, a qualitatively appropriate preparation and the food all tasted like a ready-made meal. It was palatable in taste ... but nothing special either. In terms of quality, you will be satisfied, but the ratio between the high-quality and inferior components of the dish was sometimes unacceptable. Then I would rate the price-performance ratio as bad. We found it difficult to understand the pricing for the given quality.

Really wonderful. The instructions for eating taco in the menu were really helpful (especially because we had never come into contact with Mexican food before). The food was really good and so was the service. The urgent need for a Mexican restaurant in our hometown remained with us

Very nice staff, even offered a free beer. Ambience matches the style of the restaurant. The food wasn't really my cup of tea, but it's a matter of taste.

The food has always been very tasty and the tacos as a starter are perfect for sharing for two. Everyone will surely find something delicious here. What is not so good, however, is the experience with the service. So it happened that we had to wait more than 30 minutes (with a manageable number of customers) for our bill, for a faulty device that was on the tables before Corona, to call the service and ultimately also for a drink should pay that never reached us. If there is a lot to do, that's okay, but then you should admit your mistake and not put the blame on the customer, because that's guaranteed not to come more often.

I was really looking forward to a great evening with Mexican food. Unfortunately, I had to wait almost half an hour before I could order the food. After another 20 minutes I got something to drink. After more than an hour the food came, which unfortunately was only lukewarm. Unfortunately, the taste is not as great as I'm used to from other Mexican restaurants. What a shame!! I only think the atmosphere is great.

Very tasty food, but expensive and small portions. (That platter costs 23€) Also, very limited assortment of cocktails (5), and apparently they are not able to make any others...

Very nice ambience. Also pleasant with children, as there is a backyard with no traffic and a play area (but closed due to Corona). Food was very good and varied (not only Taccos and Buritos). Good cocktails.

One of the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eat. I advice you to order their Burritos.

Large menu with many combinations, also vegetarian. Very tasty food, appetizingly arranged, generous portions. You sit quite quietly in a side street and yet in the middle of the city. Very friendly service. Reasonable prices.

All in all average

I mostly didn't want to share the dessert with my retinue at all. We have all learned from this for the future and will order a dessert per person the next time we visit. The chairs are extremely comfortable and the distance between the seats is extremely reasonable. There you don't get the feeling of dining like sardines in a can. From our point of view, a visit is highly recommended. Not only the nice staff was the absolute hit with our visit, but also the good climate.

Great Mexican food

Nice and capacious/spacious restaurant with tasty Mexican foods.

The food wasn’t that great, I was on the toilet a good while after the meal. The taco plate is advertised wrongly, they tell you everyone at the table has to get at least 5 tacos. Meat was dry.

Super delicious food. We are always happy when we can come here with friends. Everyone is very nice and the service is quick. Nice and sociable if you order a record with a few friends. Very happy to come here. The quality is consistently great.

We ordered some tacos and what a disappointment! I have never seen anything similar in a mexican restaurant. It looked like a Leberkäse, not a "Taquito" at all. And we payed around 5€ for each of THOSE! I guess a picture is worth a thousand words...

It might be that due to the crisis the quality of the food got lower, but those tacos are simply unacceptable.

For American expats it's not Mexican Mexican, but it will scratch the itch. Good frozen Margherita, spicy pickles, and tacos. Everything else was a little weird. Good atmosphere oh and bonus, there is a play area for kids. Pricey.

One of the very few authentic Mexican restaurants. Food is great, staff is nice, and it is possible to sit outside in the backyard, too. They have mole poblano. Great stuff. They are a little bit more expensive than others, but definitely worth it.

Very good mexican food.

I was not very pleased with the service staff. I am a vegetarian, so I asked if the beans they offer were vegetarian. Their answer was "beans are vegetarian" as if I didn't know that beans on their own were vegetarian. So I had to specify several times to them whether they added animal substance to "Their beans" and after many tries someone finally gave me a straight answer, which is that their beans are actually not vegetarian

I can not recommend this place. My food was not fresh, but was heated in the pan. Because of this, you could neither cut it nor chew it. The meat was already dry and did not look so healthy anymore. For the price of just 16, - € I was more than disappointed. I had told the waiter nice and had expected the disclosure of the feedback to the kitchen. Unfortunately, my feedback was not accepted. Our server was nice and tried hard. However, the fingers - yellowed by smoking - have disturbed me a bit. All in all, I did not have the impression that there was a harmonious atmosphere between the employees and the management present.
